An unconventional wedding to remember
Like all good modern day connections it started with a facebook post. Lou founder of Bake to the Future was looking for unconventional menswear brands to be part of a photo shoot based in Kent. Well this was an opportunity I could not miss out on. Couchman Bespoke was swiftly scooped up into a group of wedding suppliers, all of which are (mostly) based in Kent, like one of the family.
The shoot took place on the grounds of a hotel in south Kent, England on a partially cloudy. With peacocks roaming the team set to work with props and cakes to feed us all, not until the end of the day though. The photo shoot was inspired by male music stars from Hendrix to Bowie and all in between, which The Unconventional Wedding Magazine have featured this month.
Lets talk about the clothes :)
First up on the day was Prince. Flamboyant, sophisticated, androgynous, modeled very well by Devante bringing his persona to life once again. Prince was one of the greatest musicians the world has seen. Wearing Couchman Bespoke red velvet jacket and black velvet pinstripe trousers. With purple origami shirt and cream lace shirt.
Next up was David Bowie. Unique, glam rock, multi-persona, inspiration, modeled by James with pure Bowie style. David Bowie was known throughout his career for have a multitude of music styles and personalities. Wearing Couchman Bespoke cream tux jacket with red paper silk shirt and black pinstripe waistcoat.
Next up was Jimi Hendrix. Rock and roll guitar legend and icon, modeled by Tobias. Styled perfectly to represent Hendrix on stage in 1967. Hendrix was a rock icon but only had 4 years of fame before his death in 1970, lost far too soon. Wearing Couchman Bespoke tan leather trousers and terracotta printed shirt.
Next up was Kurt Cobain. Icon of alternative music, artistic spirit, anti-establishment songwriter, modeled by Connor. Frontman of the rock band Nirvana, Cobain is considered to be one of the most iconic and influential rock musicians in history. Wearing Couchman Bespoke denim jacket and denim trousers.
